About Us

GJ Care and Training Ltd is a well-established domiciliary care company in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan. We have been providing care and support to the residents of the Vale since we were established in 2006 by Gillian Lewis and Jeff Davies. Combined, our managers have over 65 years’ experience within the care sector.

After many years of working for others and seeing the lack of quality and standards being applied in the delivery of care, we decided we could do better. As a result, GJ Care and Training was formed.

A personalised care service

We provide a wide variety of services and work with our service users to tailor each package individually (within current care regulations and guidelines). We work alongside health and social services and carry out care under contract. We also offer additional private care options to suit our clients. We fully involve our clients in the planning and delivery of their individual packages.

We are registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales, and our managers are registered with Social Care Wales. Our staff are either registered with Social Care Wales or are working towards the qualifications to enable them to register. Both CIW and SCW are tasked by the government to regulate and monitor the quality of the care industry in Wales.

We are also members of the United Kingdom Home Care Association. All our staff are DBS (Enhanced) checked regularly, and references are taken up at initial employment.
